I keep hearing from people that they keep checking my blog, so thanks and yay!!! I know some people are able to comment while others are not. I myself am unable to comment. So I am not sure what to tell anyone to do, or what anyone may be doing wrong!
My cold is still here... but so am I! I have sinus congestion, I cough stuff sometimes, and my body is VERY achy. I am not sure where I picked this up at, since I haven't been able to really go anywhere.
I am going to take this time to remind everyone of a few very important things, so please don't be offended! I am on a large amount of immune suppressants to keep my lupus at bay while I heal from my surgery and will be on them for at least another month. I am very prone to infection and illness right now, and am allergic to almost all antibiotics. IF you are coming to visit me, it is important that you wash your hands well, or use hand sanitizer. I always have some if you don't. And If you are sick I have a face mask you can wear, please let me know! You can be contagious for a few days after you start feeling better when you have the flu or a cold. I love seeing people, so don't stay away because you are afraid! We just need to take precautions!
Tomorrow I go to my primary doctor (pcp). I will go over the diagnosis, PHA patients guide, the Remodulin, emergency procedures, cassette changes, dressing changes, and the catheter itself. This is a big visit. Then on Tuesday I do the same with my rheumatologist. I also plan on finishing more applications for assistance, and getting ahold of a lady here in Junction with Pulmonary Hypertension. I want to look into when the next health fair is here in town and see about doing a booth or something for that. If anyone is interested in helping me when the time comes let me know! I will put the information I get in here when I get it! I know Rachel is busy with the walk for cancer.. Relay for Life? I am sure not the March of Dimes walk, but I am not sure if it is the Releay for Life...
I have a theory when it comes to the side effects that I feel with the Remodulin. I think it makes whatever minor issue I am having worse! (Yay?!?) Like that day I got the big headache, I had a small headache (very minor) earlier for whatever reason... then it got BAD! The other day I got a headache from fatigue, it got worse! And this last time I had sinus pressure that turned terrible. I also noticed that if my sugar falls, I get very shaky, more so than before. I am keeping a journal of just the side effects and tracking all of this to see what it does to me. So I guess I will see!
Well, I am signing off for the night! I will let you know how the doctors appointment go this week. I am interested. They can go two ways... really well... or the doctors could be offended that I try to "teach" them. I love my doctor, and I don't think it will go badly, but I am not the most tactful person in the world either. I also hope I didn't offend anyone tonight.
Anna, never be affraid of offending anyone and as far as your tactful ability your are great. Everyone loves you and no one would want to harm you in anyway. You must make sure everyone knows and under stands what can hurt you and how fragel you are. I can't speak for everyone but I know if they truely love you (and who wouldn't) they will understand and respect what you must do! Go girl go. I hope you get to feeling better soon! and my prayers will focuse on you as they most deffinetly do. with all the love in my heart and the best wishes in the world, only the best for you sweatheart! Love Dad
ReplyDeleteDon't ever apologize for reminding us. I distinctly remember having to take the same precautions during my transplant. Relax, honey. We love you. And yes, it is the Relay for Life.
